Bonkyard privacy policy

Last updated: 22 September 2026

Bonkyard is a single-player game made by Stefan Zijlstra. This page explains what the game does with data.

What the game stores

Your progress (levels cleared, gold, upgrades, best runs, chosen hero and sound settings) is stored only on your device. The game has no accounts and no servers of its own, and it never uploads your progress.

Advertising

The Android and iOS apps can show optional reward ads through Google AdMob. You only see an ad when you choose to watch one (for example to revive or to double a run's gold); the game never plays ads on its own. To serve and measure ads, Google may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address, approximate location derived from it, and app usage such as which ads were shown. In the EU/EEA and UK the game asks for your consent before the first ad, and you can change your choice at any time from the ad consent form. If you decline, ads may still be shown but are not personalised. Google's handling of this data is described in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://support.google.com/admob/answer/6128543.

The Supporter Pack removes all ads.

In-app purchases

The Supporter Pack is a one-time purchase handled by Google Play or the Apple App Store and by RevenueCat, which validates the purchase. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user ID and the purchase receipt; it does not receive your name or email. See https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy.

Children

The game is not directed at children under 13, and it does not knowingly collect personal data from them.

Your choices

You can delete all game data by uninstalling the app. To withdraw ad consent, open the consent form again from the game. For any question about this policy, contact: info@zijlstra.tech
